The problem

An event makes every design assumption physical. A screen must be readable from the back of a room, a demo needs power and a clear path, and a run-of-show can be undone by a late vendor handoff. Sponsor work has a different constraint: a message must fit inside another team's editorial format and survive review.

The call

For RLWRLD's Dexterity Night on May 13, 2026, I treated the identity, room, and production sequence as one connected problem. My documented responsibilities include the event page, graphics, floor plan, load-in, lighting and AV, catering, run-of-show, staffing, and vendor coordination. RLWRLD and EO colleagues, venue staff, and outside vendors made the event happen. The supplied Exploratorium venue detail needs the event record before it appears as a confirmed caption.

The stage screens identified the founder and the RLDX-1 team; the room plan had to make demos and conversation coexist. Graphics, AV, and staffing were part of the same handoff. The important artifact is therefore not one poster but the route from an approved file to a working cue in the room.

In the world

Panel and audience at Dexterity Night
Visual evidenceDexterity Night, San Francisco, May 13, 2026. Photograph by Katelyn Tucker. This panel image is not evidence of a separate trade-show booth.

The requested Enactic / Origami booth story is a distinct production module. The current records confirm participation around Dexterity Night, but do not establish a booth-specific artifact, venue, date, or my design role. It remains an open module rather than borrowing the panel photo as proof.

The Granola collaboration is separate again. Historical records describe three mid-rolls moving through script, review, and client sign-off. I directed the creative and production path with the EO team. The existing clip below is a portfolio reference; final-cut permission and UTM implementation need verification before the case can claim a delivered campaign or impact.

Outcome

Dexterity Night happened and the physical production work is documented. The final check-in count is still missing; the supplied approximation of 140 is not a verified attendance number. Three Granola mid-rolls reached sign-off in historical notes, which is distinct from measured sponsor results.

What I'd tell another designer

Design the handoff as carefully as the object. The person loading the screen or opening the room needs an unambiguous next action.
