Overview
To address low adoption of Naver’s Green Dot smart search in the AI era, I proposed a unified Multi-Input search bar that integrates Green Dot and text search into a seamless user experience.
Background
User testing was conducted to analyze the reasons behind the low usage rate of Green Dot.
Strategy
To bridge the disconnected Green Dot experience, a Multi Input search bar design was proposed, allowing all searches to start from a single search bar.
Design
Green Dot now functions as the smart-search gateway, enabling effortless input switching and reinforcing the mental model that “smart search equals Green Dot.”
Image search integrated into the search bar. Image search results are fully integrated into the search bar, reinforcing a cohesive search experience.
Proactive multimodal search
When users are unsure of which keywords to search for, they are guided to use image-based search through capturing. Additionally, a multi-modal search option combining image and text is also available.
Industry applications
Integrated search bar was applied to NAVER mobile app.
